W elcome to the demonstration application of 'HHSRSAPP'. This demonstration walks you through the process of creating a HHRSR assessment in the style of the Warwick worked examples. This demonstration is a cut down version of HHSRSAPP however even though restricted in scope it still allows you to use the HHSRSAPP calculator module©.
At the heart of HHSRSAPP desktop are the calculation modules. The layout of any report you create is based largely on these modules.
The application provides for you the ability to work on 3 premises at any one time.
The application workflow is intuitive so just click on the 'Projects' tab and see how far you get come back here for further information. In the demonstration 'Assessment' tab text inputs are pre-populated. You must load your own images and add image titles to complete the form as you progress through the assessment stages.
The application requires a larger screen ideally 1920 pixels or greater anything smaller than 1366 pixels will cause the visual displacement of elements.
T he process of creating a report is linear. HHSRSAPP builds the report as it progresses through a series of modules with each module adding to the completion of the final report.
When you are in the calculation modules the datasets are in memory this allows for the realtime feedback you get when using them.
I explain these aspects of HHSRSAPP to ephasise its non-triviality ; it is a complicated application and your computer must be able to run it. The browser you use is very important. HHSRSAPP desktop was developed using the Google Chrome browser and for compatability testing Mozilla Firefox. I am confident the application will work on all modern browsers as they are all built with compatability in mind and use a common set of standards to achieve this.
Y ou start with the projects module (see notes below) accessed via the 'Projects' tab in the top left corner beside the 'Home' tab where you are now! When you press the 'Projects' tab the 'Calculation ' tab will appear. Once you are in the calculation module the justification calculation module tab will appear on opening this tab the assessment module tab will appear.
T he 'Worked Examples' provided with this demonstation were created with this application to showcase its scope.
T he 'Worked Examples' are an an accurate representation , created programmatically, of the original HHSRS worked examples created by Warwick University published in 2004.
T he full scope of this application includes the ability to provide an inspecting authority with the means to develop a curated database of worked examples based on inspections carried out by officers in their locality.
Alway navigate the application using the tabs made available to you in the order they appear.

Section One

1 You are on the 'Home' page please go to 'Projects'...Go to Projects!

2 In Projects you have 3 'Cards' that are 'draggable'. The top card is the 'active' card. Mouse over on any of these cards. Left mouse button click on a card with left mouse button remaining down drag card up or down. To make a 'dragged' card the 'active' card drag any card below the existing 'active' card and release the dragged card by releasing the mouse button on top of the existing 'active' card , this card will become the new active card

3 In the 'active' card click on 'Edit', you can now change the premises address and the premises type (dropdown menu) or continue to use the default values.

4 You will notice that on entering the 'Project' tab that the 'Calculator' tab appears. In your own time open the Calculator tab...Go to Calculator!

5 Familiarise yourself with the 'Sliders', Horizontal sliders to score. Vertical slider left to scroll through the 29 hazards and vertical slider right to scroll through the average likelihood and health outcomes, choose the most appropriate relevant to the premises you are scoring

6 Score the hazard by choosing likelihood and harms if required. The right section of the calculator always has the correct harms for the premises. The default is set at 'pre 1920 HMO' which you may not want. Please choose accordingly

F or the puposes of this demonstration all form fields for been filled in for you they are the same for the 29 hazards and are for demonstration purposes only.

7 You will notice that on entering Calculator that the 'Justification' tab has appeared. After scoring...Go to Justification!

8 You will notice that on entering 'Justification' that the 'Assessment' tab has appeared. Score the premises again in light of the improvments you require to be carried out * if you choose not to then the default values will be used, then....Go to Assessment!

Section Two

1 Midway down the assessment you will see a green circular arrow symbol below the Inspection date(Epoch time)Click this button to reveal the defects you have assessed on site with the mobile app. In lieu of the mobile app data simply click the radio button associated with the defect inspected, with Red meaning 'seriously defective'.

2 When all checkboxes are checked the green 'Completed' button will come into focus. This process happens automatically for all text inputs other that the dropdown box the related hazards box in the main assessment form....Click Completed button!

3 On clicking the button you are now in the 'AssessmentCompleted' tab of the application. Here you click of the camera icons to add relevant inspection photographs you have on your computer. Add a title to each photo. When completed the boxes to the left will all have self-checked and another green 'completed button will come into focus'...Click Completed button!

4 Finally your assessment is complete....Click 'SaveDb' button! Your assessment is now saved to disk on your computer

5 You will now notice that only the 'Home' and 'Projects' tabs are available....Click on the 'Home' tab!

6 You will now notice that a 'Saved Projects' tab has appeared....Click on the 'Saved Projects' tab!

7 You will now see a list of all projects saved ....Click on the project link, the 'Pen' blue symbol! to the right of the screen ,to view the saved project.

G o back to the 'Projects' tab to start another project. The 'Saved Projects is now on display as its datatbase now contains an entry'
